Question: Transmission Shift Kit?

I have 47,000 miles on the engine and transmission. The T. fluid needs to be changed and at the same time I was thinking about putting a shift kit in. Nothing high performance, just for street driving.
Recommendations on installing a kit in a transmission this old. Yey or Ney??

If the tranny is in good condition it wont hurt , but why do you want the shift kit anyway - you want just a slightly firmer shift?
Do you REALLY want to take the valve body off etc?
IMHO if its not broken , don't fix it
