I currently own a 1996 Collector's Edition Coupe with the LT1 engine. I would prefer to have the manual six speed tranny that come on the GrandSports and Collector Editions with the LT4 engine. I was planning on swaping the tranny before I messsed with the rear differential and put in a 4.11 ring and pinion in order to have the best match. I also plan on converting the engine to LT4 specs or higher in the future so I would like to have the most potential for power. Has anyone ever done this kind of work? What would be associated with installing the clutch pedal and shifter? I have never done or attempted anything like this before.

I have heard many who wantto do this swap...my advise would be to sell the can and buy a manuel. Cheaper and less head trama. You are looking at swapping the ECM, wiring harness, getting a pedel under the dash with little room to work. Just my opinion

Differential

What's the stock differential for a '96 vette, it came from the factory with the GM1 2.59 ratio and I need to know what type of gear to get for the stock diff.
