Would anyone know happen to know what amount of torque is required (specifically) to tighten down the plenum tubes on an 86? I cannot seem to find that info in my service manual. I'm sure it's there somewhere.

Chilton's manual, page 3-15 says 25 ft.lbs

I have a GM service manual but thanks for your info. I think we finally ended up at about 18 ft. pounds. 25 seems a tad high?

Actually for 84-88 it is 25ft.lbs for the intake, runners to intake and runners to the plenum. And I also checked the Clymer manual and the Haynes.
