1980 pearl white vette
Hello gang,
I'm taking the Vette for its first (of many) road trip to the Oregon coast this weekend. A beautiful, winding road from Hwy 26 to 47 to Hwy 101 to Hwy 1.
But, before I go I wanted to give the car its first tune-up. I haven't tuned up my own car since I was in my teens & early 20's (working on very simple muscle cars).
But, for my 1980 Vette (it's a 350 L82) what should I buy?
I know that I'll need new plugs & wires but what brand would you use?
Other than that I would like to know what you guys & gals buy for your tune-ups.

Thanks in advance.
Andy

Once again the door is opened for the which plug is best war to begin , so I will insert my .02 first. Plug brand is like tennis shoe brand, doesn't matter. When we were racing we ran whatever was free . Same for wires on a stocker. I am not saying go to Walmart but then again you don't need 8.8mm wires either. Make sure to gap the plugs correctly, even if the are gapped at the factory, check them. Check and/or replace the distributor cap and rotor, wires and plugs. Change the fuel filter and air filter and PVC valve. Check all hoses and don't forget fuel hoses and vacuum as well.
Good luck and have fun with it, its a Vette !
