Cool! Correct me if I'm wrong but the fake vents on the 63 Stingray were supposed to be functional at one point to help extract heat and to lower the lift on the front end at speed. Back then I guess, they could not figure out how to get them functional so that it didn't get trash and rain water into the engine bay......I read that somewhere a long time ago.......My feeling is the lift problem on the C2 was some of the reason the Generation only lasted 5 years......among other reasons....
