turbo

I have a 1980 corvette stock. what do i need to buy and how would i go about putting a turbo or supercharger on it?

I would go with a Turbo International or a Martin kit. Both would be good for 350HP or so to the wheels. The Turbo International kit is like the 80 Duntov Turbo Corvette. Just make sure your short block is in good shape. I do have a new Martin Turbo intake if you’re interested. You would need to find the rest of the kit though. I've found a ton of turbo stuff for friends on EBay. You could also build a custom but It's $$$ :crazy:

You bet, I'll look around and I'll post something back to ya...

I bought the Turbo International kit off of EBay and later sold it for around $1100.00 as you see in the pic above. I had the turbo checked and ceramic coated as well as the exhaust manifold. With all of the money spent I still made $400 from the initial purchace. So deals can be found.

Can you tell me what budget you have in mind and how much of a modification you would be willing to do to your Vette... That would limit my search.

Sorry to say but no. But you still can find bolt on kits being sold on ebay. I looked tonight and found a few but none suitable for a corvette. I would start there. Look for Martin or Turbo International for a single turbo bolt on. Custom turbo setups for your 350 can be costly. You can check my web page for turbo sizing and other info. I will keep looking and get back with you if I find anything of interest. :crazy:

I found a pic of the Martin kit. I have a new intake just like the one shown in the attached pic. You would need to find the rest of the parts for the kit including the turbo and exhaust manifolds / piping. I'm on a work assignment in Iowa but when I get back home I'll post a pic of the Intake. If your interested I'll part with the Intake for $200.00 just let me know. Keep watching EBay you will be amazed at what you can find... :crazy
