U-joint Axle Strap

Quick question for you guys,

I've been ordering a TON of parts l8ly to redo the back half of the car, the ujoint straps I orderd from ecklers, part number 39841, which says they are for 63-96 vettes. Now they they have finally come my dad test fitted them and the holes don't line up? did ecklers send the wrong ones? I know I specified the year of my car when I ordered.

39841 are for the axle shaft U-joints. The driveshaft straps are larger than these. Did you check to see if they will fit the axle shafts or the driveshaft. Of course, they could just be wrong for both applications. Ecklers is funny like that.
Personally, I would have no problem painting and re-using the original straps and returning the Ecklers parts for a refund.

on my car the axle straps, and the drive shaft straps are the same size, we were gonna just paint and re-use the old ones, but figured while everything is out, might as well just replace them. If we can't find any localy then we probably will just use the old ones.

Save the money.....Just use the old ones as long as they are not bent or warped or the holes elongated.....
