Underhood light ????????

Hello To Everyone,
My question this time is about the under hood light.

1. How does this thing attach to the hood? What type of screws are used? Is there some sort of threaded insert?

2. The black wire, with the eylet on it; does it just go to the base of the light between the screw and the light or between the light and the hood??

Hi,
Mine was fitted to the hood with very short phillips head self tappers directly into the hood. The eyelet was fitted between the light & the d.side screw. That was how it was when I got it, but there's nothing to say that somebody hasn't altered it in some way, so a 2nd opinion would be worth having.
