Underhood paint

Anyone know the correct paint code for the inside of hood? I'm getting conflictlng info, I know it's black but I have been told that for 93-96 a different color or style of black was used. So far I have...flat black...semi gloss black...black with clear coat...and a couple of other. Any help would be appreciated along with any results from the various paint companies anyone has used...thanx....Gary
96 CE- LT 4 with so many goodies that i'm gonna have to start taking some off as i'm getting tired of buying tires....be safe

a good economical black is "underhood black" from Eastwood.If you want to be more "correct .Gm sells the exact black called reconditioning black.If you want the part # let me know.Some times its hard to get the dealer to order it but sometimes they will.

I most generaly use Rustolem...satian black .....code #7777....in a spray can and have found it to be very close to the correct color
Try it on another piece of metal and check the color..
