I was replacing the fuel injectors and EGR valve 6 months ago when my project got postponed due to shoulder surgery. I finished it up last week, and it runs great. Problem is, I have this part left over, and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is or where it goes. I can't find any openings or missed connections. Does anyone know what this thing is or where it belongs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

Looks like a mounting stud of some kind... maybe a rubber grommet gets pushed on the top or ??

I have something like than on the plastic engine shroud on my truck. Hmmm...

Left side Plenum, 2nd runner top bolt from the rear....

It has the pin for mounting or a cable guide IIRC... Easy one to miss since all the other plenum/runner bolts are normal torx or hex, whatever you may have. I swapped all mine to allen and double nutted one longer bolt to replace this one.

Your description was right on the money! Hope I can someday repay the favor. I too replaced most of the Yorx with Allens. Thanks to the others that offered assisance as well. Can't tell you how good it feels have my a** back in the 'glass.
