1960 Tasco Turquois Survivor
I am looking at purchasing another 1960 Corvette. The car is a survivor with all of the paper work. It has one other owner and less than 100K original miles on it. It has the original paint and all of the numbers match. The owner is asking $50K for the car. What does everyone think of that price? Is it too much if the car is in good condition?

Hi there c5d. The car has a 270 cid 245 hp 2x4bbl engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. It has the two tone paint, heater/defroster, visors, brake alarm, wonderbar radio, both tops and a completely rebuilt engine. All of the original paperwork including the window sticker, sales contract and all service paperwork. Hope this helps. :v

It sounds like a lot. I know a dealer who took one in recently for $ 5,000. and Ii may offer him $ 10 K so he can double his investment. Car runs and drives. Thats all i know

You say the engine is rebuilt - if the rest of the car is good mechanically, ands the body is undamaged and unmolested, and the frame is intact, try to get the owner down to 40k. Otherwise, start subtracting the repair cost of whatever is needed - unless having a survivor to show at NCRS meets is important, in which case - go for it.
