I would say in the $25K to $30K range depending on how clean. Also depends on what part of the country, here in S. Cal things seem to be as inflated as the housing market is. I just bought a 327/350 68 Conv with a older body off restore but still in excellent shape, with new top for $24K but had to go out of state for it. This is just an opinion, I'm not an expert but have been looking at a lot of corvettes for a few months. Also I'd be careful to what number matching really means. Lot's of numbers, carb, heads, block, etc....matthud said:Can someone give me an estimate of the value of a '69 numbers matching 427/390 4-speed with 66000 miles. Its a t-top car with power steering and brakes. Overall it appears to be in good shape.

Who are these guys? I'm looking for a local 'vette shop to work on anything I can't do myself...JJS said:I recently had my 1971 LT1 appraised at $32,750.
My car has had a body off restoration, and is in excellent condition.
The people that appraised my car are NCRS certified, and their
business is restoring corvettes. They are nationally recognized,
and are located here in MA.
Don't know if this helps or not, but like a previous reply stated the
value might vary depending on where you're located.

Just a minor point, but there's no such thing as a business or people that are 'certified' by NCRS. Also, an appraisal for insurance purposes has little or no relation to the market value of a car. I wish I could get half what my car was appraised at.JJS said:I recently had my 1971 LT1 appraised at $32,750.

True enough - but Ron is well known throughout the NCRS community and recongnized as one of their most knowledgable experts.Vettehead Mikey said:Just a minor point, but there's no such thing as a business or people that are 'certified' by NCRS.
Might be nit-picking to you, but you're not the guy that formerly had his private email address and phone number listed on a NCRS site and got a regular stream of messages asking for 'approved' or 'certified' repair shops, people, or evaluators. One guy was very indignant that a membership didn't include a 'free' evaluation ?!? Another guy from Phoenix (non member) called me on a Sunday at dinner time to demand that I go first thing Monday morning to inspect a car about 500 miles away. When I declined he threatened to 'report me'.JJS said:As for the NCRS "certified statement," here's what's listed on Ron't homepage:
"Corvettes Restored to NCRS Top Flight Specifications"
In the future I'll try to be more careful of what I write when someone asks for help or information. Obviously there are people out there with nothing better to do than nit-pick.
