Valve covers switched?

I just replaced my valve seals and placed my valve covers on as they were when I took them off. After seeing some pictures today, I noticed the oil fill is on the passenger side (by the dipstick). I suppose this is the correct position isn't it? I have my oil fill on the drivers side. :hb

I don't have the 84 but on my 82 cross-fire the oil fill is on the driver side.

The oil fill on my 84 is on the passenger side I hope this helps.

84 is on pass side

Passenger side for Oil fill
.. I do not think it's that big of a deal... except the PVC routing.

My dipstick is on the Pass side too!

OOPS!

Actually the pvc plugged right in. I agree, I don't think it really matters. I'm going to drive it for awhile.

Thanks everyone! :w

Re direct

What side did the PVC plug in?

The PCV hole and the breather hole are identical. In fact, if you look at the underside of the driver's side cover (where the bowtie logo is), there's a punchout for the oil cap. My aftermarket covers are not side specific and you fill the oil through either side's breather hole.

I noticed that. The bowtie emblem is like a knockout. Like you said also, the breather hole and PCV hole are the same. They are both symetrical.

I'm just a neat freak and it WILL bother me until I get it right!

Oh well!

If I remember correctly

On my 84

The oil fill was on the pass side.

The Oil fill cap was foward twds radiator

The dipstick was on the pass side

The PVC was foward twds radiator drivers side.
