Valve stem caps

I just purchased some chrome plated brass valve stem caps for my C5. When I purchased the car last month I found myself making minor pressure adjustments to the tires to get them "just right". After installing them, i started thinking...can the weight of these new caps affect the balance of the tire? They are significantly heavier than the stock plastic caps. Since they are located so close to the outside of the rim i was wondering if there would be an effect. ;help

Valve Caps

L-Man, just surfin through and saw you question. I have the chrome plated brass valve caps on my "97" vette and have had no problems. They have small plastic seals in them and if you tighten them too tight they may distort and put pressure on the valve insert. So don't over torque them
Good Luck LA Vett

Thanks LA.
I have made a few "high speed" runs since installing them and have not noticed anything. I am glad you mentioned not torquing the valve insert. I didn't think of that.
