I'm looking to take my car buffing/waxing to the next level. I've a small hand random buffer which works "ok", but i want to do more. I was looking at a new variable speed orbital buffer/polisher. They look to run ~$200 (plus all the foam pads, etc). I have looked at Porter, DeWalt, Craftsman, and a few others.

Any suggestions, tips, experiences with these.

I think your talking about non-dual action buffers.Ive had quite a few of those,I suggest definitly going with a variable speed.I had a dewalt W849 and loved it but it died, thought Id try a milwaukee and hate it but will use it until it dies.
