After no crank condition, replacing battery, checking key code (14), In looking at all the VATS info (for days) on the forum. i could not find any tech info , pertaining to the readings on a volt meter looking towards the vats module. Only reading the ohm's at the two wire junction towards the key.
Sooo....in looking to bypass the vats system, you must know that there is a 5 volt reading at the two wire connection from the vats module, in order to read the ohmic value of the key in the switch. This is crucial to troubleshooting, if you want to read the correct value from the key , at the two wire junction, especially if you are considering a vats bypass install.......sore knees and and internet info later, im back on the street, enjoying the top off, spring air florida has to offer. I hope this will help others here in there vats problems. thanx
