Anyone know how the passenger side vent on the dash is held in place? Mine on the right side is vibrating me CRAZY :s Before I start yanking/pulling on it figured I'd ask the experts.

The small black louvered vent in the center of the outlets is removed by (gently) prying up from the bottom. This will expose as couple of , I think, # 10 screws. The vent wheels, etc are delicate & easily broken so take it easy.:Steer

If it the one in the loaf of bread good luck...but you might be able to get it from the backside if you remove the dash cover. Look underneath it for the screws and then you can pull it out revealing everything behind the dash...be careful with it as it is styrofoam and expensive to replace...

I took all 3 of my a/c vents out last week for a cleaning. If your car is like my 1990 convertible you will find that each vent has 2 philips head screws that you can find easily by peeking into the front of the vent. The screws are removed from the front but aren't terribly noticeable because they are black and nestled in a black slot of the grills. That is all that holds the vents in place.
After removing these screws carefully wiggle the vent out. It will come out in one piece and you can then see why it is rattling (you may as well clean it in the sink while you're at it too!).

I took mine off some time ago. I thought they were held in place by a torx screw. :confused Either way, don't just try to pull it off. ;)

Meant pulling on it as a joke. I'll be careful, I just didnt know if the screws were behind it or if it was pressed in with those plastic holder jobbies. It has a small vent in the center and around that is a longer vent. The longer vent vibrates on the right hand side, drives me nuts, sounds like the car is falling apart.
