One of the guys on the other forum mentioned a "Vette Dr." or "Vette Doc" in East Tennessee.

I asked him to pm me with the guy's particulars (address, ph, etc) but no response.

Anybody know who this guy is? He's supposed to be real good.

would you be talking about www.doctordons.com
for bose repair?

No...this would be a mech.

The member was saying that he had gone to this guy with sloppy shift points (his is an auto, as you might guess) and that the gentleman had really fine tuned the shift points.

He had also done some tuneup work on the motor and the member now feels as though he's driving a new Vette.

The real big deal is that the man only charged him $365.

...there are the Vette Doctors in New York - other than them, I have heard of no other

I repeated my question to the guy on the other forum and no answer, so far.

Think now, maybe he's jerkin' us around.

Hmmmm

I don't know about any vette doctor, but I like your taste in vettes!

You, Sir, are a gentleman of impeccable taste also.

Thanks for the compliment.

Be fun to caravan those two cars around town, wouldn't it?

Yeah, it would be a kick to drive these "twins" (right down to the FX3) around together.

Question, is your airbag light on all the time like mine? I know it's a problem with the 90 and I have reset the codes, but it hasn't help. I'm not sure if cleaning & greasing the sensors is worth the trouble since this is just a weekend summer toy for me.

My seatbelt light has been staying on and, if I read Helms right, that's indicating an S.I.R. fault, but I haven't pulled the code.

When I pulled the console out two weeks ago during a heater core change/interior update, I found one of the two wires coming from the driver's
seat buckle had been eaten through by mice. Not sure if that's what was causing the light or if it's really a bag circuit problem.

I'll be checking for codes when I reassemble the car and I'll be glad to fill you in. PM me and we'll exchange particulars.
