This morning I will be heading to a local Corvette event called "Vettes to Vets."

There is no admission fee but we ask each car to prepare a 'goodie bag' of items that will make the veterans comfortable on a daily basis.

These disabled veterans have given up a significant part of their lives so we may enjoy ours in complete freedom.

Over 100 cars came out last year to show their respect and support for our Veterans.

Items Needed by Men and Women Disabled Veterans

Full sized afghans

The Corvette Action Center is donating $150.00 worth of items to this event. I took the ZR-1 shopping yesterday and literally filled up the back of the car with shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, blankets, playing cards, soap, board games....the list goes on.

To all those that served in our armed forces - THANK YOU!

This was held at a Veterans Hospital, and what a fantastic turnout of Corvettes!! There were 200 Vettes from all over New England. It was incredible, and I am so proud to have been part of this Corvette event. There were two trucks filled with the bags of goodies which everyone brought.

I took a bunch of pictures, but I left the camera in the car which is now in a locked garage, and I'm pooped so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to add some pictures.

By the way, I saw Rob...and the ZR1!!! Took pictures of it...will post for those of you who are disbelievers! ;LOL

And there's no single picture that can capture it all! This was one of the best Corvette events I've ever attended!!
