Some of you may remember, as I do, of a VH-1 sweepstakes in which one person was awarded a collection containing every model year of the Corvette between 1953 and 1989. Those cars have, apparently, been gathering dust -- quite literally -- in New York for the past 25 years, neglected by their second (not the prize-winning) owner:

The good news is that now the collection has been re-sold, and the new owner plans to restore the cars to running condition. Some will likely be sold.
Aside from the '53, I don't know how many truly high-dollar cars are in the collection, which was reportedly pieced together by VH-1 for $610,000 in 1989. But it doesn't sound like many. The article says none of the cars have a Big Block engine in them; and the bulk of them are equipped with an automatic transmission (although I expect that's mostly the later model year cars).
