I posted this thread on the "other" forum and thought there would be an interest here as well.
This is for all you nuts like me that can't get enough of those side exhaust sounds.
I've been trying to send these AVI files via e-mail attachments and they're just too bloody BIG (18 & 21 mb).
Fortunately for me Allcoupedup has extended his hospitality so that you guys can enjoy these (I know I am!!
). My thanks to you Brian for your hospitality!
The solid sounds were taken at 11:30 at night, 4th of July evening (had to compete with the firecrackers going off all around me). This is the LT1 cam offered in 70-72 on Vettes and, I believe, the Z28 of that era. This cam is SpeedPro #CS1145R. Know some of you will get the exact years the 'Ro's used it. This cam has the following dual pattern profile: 242 Intake, 259 Exhaust with a lift of 459 Intake, 485 Exhaust (LSA of 116). I'm running this w/1.6 Crane Gold Roller Rockers).
That's me in the background whoopin' it up. My son's manning the IR gun watchin' the temps. We had her hummin' for 20 minutes @ 2,000 r's.
The hydraulic sounds were taken in February of this year prior to the rebuild. That hydraulic setup was SpeedPro's CS186R. This cam's profile is 230/230 with a 480 lift (LSA of 109). From an idle standpoint this cam was "lumpier".
Just a cautionary....the files are BIG and it will take 20 seconds or so b/4 they'll load.
ENJOY!!
