wacky gauges

;help today i was driving to work and the temp and oil pressure gauges both started jumping all over. then they settled down. it's been doing that on and off all day. i am thinking a bad ground. i am looking for feedback.

my water temp used to go wacky, it turned out the wires at the connector were just about broken off, new connector cured it.

My guess would be a bad ground as well. That is what would be common to multiple guages giving false readings.

A loose wire, bad ground, broken wire, or corroded connection are all contenders. One or a combination of these will cause the problem that you are seeing.
