wanted, pair of wheel adapters - 3/4.

same wheel bearing fits 84-90, gm #7466944 or mam 603-025. 88 up bearing was pushed outboard .750 (heard it was abs problem--??)
overhung load (tech talk) on bearing is slightly reduced on later model but based on exp, not worth calculating.
adapter just puts later wheel back to 84-87 load. imho-ho-hum.
spacers risk lug bolt failure due to increased moment-avoid those.

yeah i know that, and why i am looking for a pair of adapters. thanks for the info!
so were in upstate are you? i am from Rome.

still looking for a set of adapters. so far i can only find one inch thick ones??? thats to much, need 3/4 thick.

i've got one inch adapters on all four wheels of my 86..no problems

if 1/4 inch is too much its simple job for any machine shop to turn in lathe and cut 1/4 " off...lugs will need to be r&r (no big deal)

i'm assuming you are gonna use adapters that are machined from high-strength aluminum ( 6061-T651 or bettter)....DO NOT USE THE CAST ALUMINUM ADAPTERS --they are not strong enough

rome is abt 10 min from me by car, 6 min by vette

my adapters came from vette brakes & products (see sponsor list)

actually they suggested 3/4" adapters for mine but i had already test fitted 1" with an old junk castadapter and saw no problem...my tires are 275/40/17...
i think the 3/4 adapters are a little cheaper too
