Hi all

I think I figured out how to inbed a pic in a message here ( I hope this works).
Because of that I wanted to show off my '65 coupe.
Especially with my previous thread and everyones kind words and support at least this way you can see my girl who I was so upset over.
:)
BTW, these wewre taken by the shop I purchased her from, so are before her little incident yesterday.

Thanks!!!!
:)
I'm very proud of her. Like i've mentioned before - she is a lifelong dream of mine.
I still can't walk in or out of my garage with out staring at her even just a little and usually a light caress on her fender or a pat on her top as i walk by...........
Ok, i know, i have to tell myself she isn't a real woman but just a car. LOL

I can understand why you are so upset, that is a great car. Regular people can't understand why we feel the way we do about them, but then i could never understand people who spend millions for a picture by Picasso that most 3 year olds can paint for 50 cents;LOL

that's funny!!!!! ;LOL

besides, we can actually drive and enjoy our 'Vettes. I i wanted to stare at a picture I'd have bought a poster of a 'Vette instead.

Think of how many 'Vettes you could have for the price of one of those Picasso's.

Ever look at a painting of a woman by Picasso? none of the parts look right or are even in the right spot - sometimes not even in the correct number of parts! Why paint a woman like that? takes all the fun away from it. LOL
They say he painted things as he saw them - that tells me he needed more than glasses, i think he need Thorazine or a complete rubber room!
;LOL

If I was to buy a painting by anybody it would be Boris Vallejo, he does sci-fi-fantasy type stuff; but the women have all the right parts:D

That is one beautiful car! I can see why you were upset. . .

I'm from New York and not know for being particularly politically correct or sensitive so suffice it to say that, in your shoes, the other driver might well have forgotten all about the funeral the face of my tirade. :eyerole

Enjoy her!

thanks so much for the nice comments! So many beautiful cars and top flight cars on this forum that I know mine doesn't compare in that league but I'm still very proud of her.

Nice car, my Dad had a Milano maroon coupe also, hey I have seen women like Picasso painted, usually after Jagrmeister and Rumple Minz though:D

Again Nice car,

Tom

thanks Tom

It was one of the colors I was looking for when I was searching for a car although lets face it, there weren't any bad colors that year!

If i see Picasso type women I'll worry since I don't drink......... ;LOL

I used to see some women that could be Picasso's models! :Silly

Of course, after two bottles of Tequila some years back before I quit :drink :L

I fell in love with vettes when I was about 6 years old with the C2 (somewhere around 1962) So, every time I see your pretty C2s I keep thinking: "I'm going to get one of those before I'm too old to drive" :D

BarryK, congrats and take good care of that babe!

vettered

I must be few years younger because by the time I knew cars well enough to love them I was growing up with C3's. I always loved the C2's but figured they would always be beyond my budget so started my search looking for an early C3 ('69 thru '72). Problem was it was so long since I had been in one that when I started to look at cars and got in them it turns out that since the last time I had been in a C3 (I was MUCH younger) I had grown UP and somewhat OUT a bit too much and I'm ashamed to say I can't fit in C3's anymore as i'm 6'2" approx 235lbs
Than the wife and I happened to sit in a C2 and we both found it plenty comfortable (she wasn't comfortable in a C3 either). At that point she said "hey if you like these C2's go for it and I knew our budget just got blown to hell as I wanted a 'Vette BAD and since the C3 was now out of the question I had to consider the C2. Time to research all over again...........I'm glad it happened though. Growing up with the C3's I was more familiar with them but i LOVE the C2's. It's only that I always figured the C2's were like that golden ring that i'd never obtain - dream of yes but not obtain. I guess that makes my BABY even more special for me!

Thanks for your kind words again and I'll do my best to take care of her. Well, take better care of her after my incident of the other day..........

Looks terrific!! I had a Milano Maroon 327/365hp '65 coupe just like that many years ago - shoulda kept it!

Don't beat on yourself! I don't have wife or childs, I guess I love my vette like family and drive it everyday, but I'm aware s**** happens and sometimes there's nothing you can do about it so; Drive it and enjoy it while you can!:Steer

hey John

do you remember the VIN of yours? Maybe BABY is your old car?
:)

I have no previous records or documentation whatsoever. I posted an "Info wanted" on this site and am going to do that in the NCRS Driveline also, maybe I'll get lucky.
The last 6 numbers of my VIN are 111059. I looked it up in the NCRS guide book and was very pleasently surprised to see that precise number listed in the book. It was actually the very last serial number to come off the line in Feb. Kinda cool to see my car and it's number actually listed in the book - because of the strike that year only 11 cars are listed as the final serial numbers instead of the normal 12 so it was even greater odds to have her listed in the book :)
