There are two water drain holes in the cowling under the rear deck lid, (convertible), that are plugged anyone been thru this before?

You can clear them from inside the wheel well with a piece of coathanger wire from the outside and compressed air into the slots in the weatherstrip drain channel from the inside.

Hey magic, what front drains you be talkin' bout? My carpet gets wet in the rain while sitting.

front drain memories

It's been 10 years since I cleaned them out - I try not to park under trees that put leaves in the fresh air vent in front of the windshield.

The outlets are frame holes under the kick panel air vent chambers. Mine were so full of leves that I had to pull the vent grilles and vacuum, then use needle node pliers from under the car - to pull the remaining debris.

After all that - you see why I make it a point not to park under shedding trees.

I have pictures of the front drains magic is talking about during replacement of my front clip. I do not know how to post pictures but would be happy to send a pdf file explaining where the holes are and how to clean them out. It is large but detailed. If anyone wants a copy email me and I will send it to you.

Just had a look at the pics. Very detailed and helpful. Thanks again Dave, I'll look tomorrow.

Frank.

Dave, Please include me on your list for drain cleaning. I sent you a email as requested.

Thanks Bob

Dave, it explains the location and gives us a visual reference to make it easier. Thanks for your time and trouble educating us new guys.
