Anybody know where I can get a duct diagram for an 85 coupe, I washed the car yesterday and noticed water coming down the carpet up between the clutch and brake pedal, pretty sure its coming down thru the air intake right outside the windshield, any help as always would be appreciated.

Well I guess no one has had this problem, thanx for all the readings though. G

There are drain tubes by the hood latches. Maybe one of them is placed in the wrong position causing water to somehow get in. Its a long shot but thats all I could think of.

The drain for the drivers side cowl is a black rubber hose that you can see running behind the battery. Just pour water in that side and see if if drains. If not, the hose has what they call a duck bill end. It's closed with a slit in the end of the hose . Mine was clogged with dirt. You can pull it up and see the end of the hose. Just one of many places that could leak.

Thanks for posting with the correct names for the hoses. I couldnt remember when I posted this.:D

My 1986 vette had the windlace rotten. and the windshield weatherstrip was bad.

this caused leaking just below the dash, when you do not find a solution in the drainage system you might consider looking at the weatherstrips.

good luck.

The screen over one of the driver sides cowling cover was totally gone, and with the Olive tree I have hanging over the driveway, old olive pits and leaves had filed up in there, so after cleaning it totally out and testing by putting water down it its working fine now. and have ordered new cowling cover. Once again thanx for all your guys help.
