Hey guys,Just changed all caps under the hood on my 02. Changed the radiator cap and the original one is rated for 15 PSI. The new one I put is rated for 18 PSI. what is the normal temp reading. Maybe it's me. I thought it was reading high. On the DIC IT SAYS 203-220. What should it be and should go back to the old cap. The reason why I changed them I got them all in black chrome. Looks really nice I will post a pic later. Thanks Paulie

Paulie, that is not unreasonable on the temps. According to C4C5specialist, temps up to 240 are not bad for the LS engine.

Pure water at 15Lbs PSIG will boil at 250ºF at 18Lbs it will boil at 256ºF. As long as the water is not allowed to reach boiling point the pressure cap will make no difference in the running temp.

I just don't want to over heat. Going from 15 to 18 psi I wasn't sure, please advise.:confused I don't want to fix something thats not broken.:)

My 02 runs about the same temps here in florida-stuck in traffic on a hot day temps may rise-but later fall back:w
