Water Pump Bearings Noisy

The water pump bearings on my 90 Vert are very noisy. I can also rock the balance wheel (flying saucer) a little. I have ordered a new pump from Stewart performance (have them on all my vehicles!) and all new hoses.

My question: Should I reinstall the balance wheel. What would it hurt if I did not?

You don't need it. Many folks remove this, it is one of the unofficial official free mods lots of people do to gain ponies

You can safely remove what a lot of people call the "frisbee" with no ill effects.

I got rid of the frisbee on mine. You can't believe the weight of that hunk of metal. It's like 10 lbs and there for nothing really.
