I have like permanent waterspots on my glass all the way around. I guess from water drops just baking into the glass. I poured windex on it and cant get rid of them. Any suggestions?

Ive never tried this but Ive heard steel wool works best and it wont hurt the glass.Ive used a glass cleaning compound from rainx that works well but havent seen it on the store shelves in a while.

Bon Ami and a soft cloth. Works for me.

I used a Zaino glass polish product (#7 I believe) and a scouring pad. Still difficult but not impossible.

How about trying a clay bar? I have heard that you can use them on chrome, and your windows. It might be easier then scrubbing out water spots.

Good luck

Craig

Just thinking out loud here but what about wax and a microfiber towel??? I hope you can use one of the suggestions already posted to get them off.

#0000 steel wool form a hardware store will take off the spots and not harm your glass. The Zaino product works also.

they sell "brass wool" for this purpose and the little peices that come off will not rust where the get caught in the window trim.

Bar Keepers Friend Testimonial

Just had the same problem on my truck, and it was so bad that you could hardly see out of the side windows! Here's what I found:

You can't beat Bar Keepers Friend!!!, found at Wal-Mart. I tried everything from clay to lime away to ammonia to a very fine steel wool (on a corner to see if it would scratch, 000 grit didn't, but still didn't get the spots off) and nothing would work, so after dumping around $20 into cleaning supplies for my windows, I tried a $1 can of Bar Keepers Friend and took it right off, now I swear by it for alot of uses, it ranks up there with duct tape and WD-40! :cool

I heard Bon Ami would give you the same results, but that was my next step if the Bar Keepers Friend didn't work, but it did and it did great!

Im going to try Bar keepers friend tommorow and I'll post some before and after pics....what section is it in.Thanks everyone..

It was in with all the household cleaners at walmart.
