WAX vs. DETAILING SPRAY

O.K., I admit it. I only wax the Vette once a year, in early spring.
For the remainder of the year I 've found that the "Detailing Sprays" work wonders. Keep in mind, my Vette sits in the garage, under a car cover each week, ready for the weekends.

The question is, how many of you are doing this too?

I wax with Meguire's Gold Class ewvery 4 to 6 weeks & use the detail spray for touch ups in between.

Like Steve, I polish my cars very regularly, not because they need protection from weather and the elements, but because we show them. However, I do like the Zaino detailing spray and use it in between the polishing.

A quality quick detailing spray can be such an assest to your detailing arsenal.

I do not wash my car. Before you gasp in horror, I must state that the car sees only 1,500 miles per year, is garaged/covered and stored Winters. I do not have a need to wash the car, I simply maintain it (between polishing and waxing) with quality quick detail sprays and high quality microfiber towels.

If it were a daily/more frequent driver this method would not be appropriate. Since my top coat is carnauba, I prefer carnauba -based quick detail sprays. Eimann Fabrik Clear Pearl and Gliptone Body Gloss are 2 of my favorites.

I also use a carnauba wax {pinnacle Souveran] but I still like Zaino detailing spray and it works great with no streaking! I have the Pinnacle Detailing spray but prefer Z.

I use Meguiars polish and wax in the spring and fall. In between I use Meguiars Final Inspection spray.

I do that too but every couple of months I use Meguiars Quick wax .It goes on and comes off almost as easy as the detail spray.

I use IBIZ products mostly. They have a "dry wash" that I use as a very quick wax only if I know the paint is 100% clean. I also use the detail sprays. Keeps the car looking very nice.

I also use IBIZ wax. I have started using Mothers Showtime at the shows to put a fresh shine on . I keep at least 4 coats of wax on the car. About every 4 weeks I wash the car with Dawn and put another 2 coats on. Gosh that sounds like a lot of work! Of course Nov through Feb. I take a break
