weather stripping

The '78 I bought came with new weatherstripping but no instructions. Do the old one just pull out and the new ones pop in ? What is the correct/best way to do this?

other than a few screws in the door strips and a couple of rivets in the door glass strip it is basically a straight swap.make sure you use a proper adhesive for any contact areas where the strip stays against the metal behind the strip. this is all important to a proper seal.mike.
