i fear the wet....

when i wash my car i get a bit of water inside... so im going to completely redo all the weatherstripping.

Now, I have spotted some stripping from corvette central, who as usual, are cheaper than ecklers.

Here is what I can get:

Delux Coupe Weatherstripping Set
343080 68-82 Door main screws
343155 70-77E T-top screws
631520 Weatherstrip adhesive yellow
632505 63-82 Hood ledge
633210 69-77 Door main
633214 68-72 Windshield pillar post screws
633220 68-72 Windshield pill post with hinged pillar
633229L 69 Left body rear door glass
633229R 69 Right body rear door glass
633610 68-72 Removable rear window
633806 68-77E T-top panel (68-69 Replacement)

Basic Coupe Weatherstripping Set
631520 Weatherstrip adhesive yellow
632505 63-82 Hood ledge
633210 69-77 Door main
633220 68-72 Windshield pillar post with hinged pillar
633610 68-72 Removable rear window
633806 68-77E T-top panel (68-69 replacement)

My query is:

1. What rear door??!?!
2. Is the Delux one reccomended for a complete redo?
3. Is it hard to do on my own/help of family?

Cheers :)

Nik.

vy rear door I'm assuming your talking about "left body rear door glass"

which is the strip that the back part of the side windows touch. I went with the delux kit when I did my 81, I would recomend doing it that way, it's all going to need to be replaced, why not do it all at the same time, besides the delux kits are cheaper then buying stuff seperate. Yes it is easy to do I believe corvettefaq.com has a guide for doing the stripping. I highly recomend to be sure and get Black adhesive. I had the yellow, and none of the local auto places had black so I had to use the yellow =(

Good luck with the project!

stripping

i used corvette centrals delux kit too and yellow adhesive also it is an easy install but do the prework right get all the old crap outa the way and off the car
you and your family will spend a day doin it probably less its worth the work fer sure

Check The Last Detail for prices on WS.They are usually the cheapest and it is "corvette rubber "brand. They also sell it as a kit.Its easy but an extra set of hands is nice.I like using clear adhesive that is usually found at paint stores but yellow works fine.

Is this the website you're talking about? If so, do you have to contact them via email or phone to get info on their weatherstripping products?
