Well I sold the 69 tripower and bought a LT-1 convertible, I know I will regret selling the L71 but I got a good buck for it and it still needed some work but i now have a bad disk in my back and cannot work on the car so I purchased a LT-1 in good shape. The only thing I do not know if I like is the color War Bonnet Yellow.

Nice choice. I like the color, one of my favorites.

Nice car and a very nice shot! If only the gas pumps were older I coulda sworn that pic was taken 30 years ago. Congrats on the Shark!

War Bonnet Yellow is a "Kool" Color....and it's kinda NICE to see
something other than the USUAL "Common" Color's!:Steer

I liked the pic but it didn't show the color very well. Will you post another please?

It appears that the vette's War Bonnet Yellow is sort of a deep brassy color, not like a sunny yellow at all. If it is the color I think it is...I LIKE IT A LOT!
I'm sure it will grow on you. Drive it for a while...you'll find that color doesn't matter that much when you put your foot into the pedal or cruise around! :D
Heidi

I like Warbonnet Yellow. It's really a gold color. I also like Riverside Gold in 69. Chuck

I used to own a coupe "T" top in that color & it is one of my favorites ... I wish I still had that vette.

:w :w

New Ride

The car is great, I myself just picked up a 72 LT-1. The C3's are by far the best looking ones out there. IMHO

Michael

I think the Warbonnet Yellow is a nice color also. I think if the paint is in decent shape you should enjoy it as is until it is time to paint it.

Its not home yet but its on the way, should arrive the day after christmas & thanks to RAIN who went and looked at the car for me. I tried to attach more pictures but the file sizes are to large it tells me. Once it gets home I will post additional pictures, everyone have a good Holiday.

Jerry

Thanks Rain, I checked out the pic in the thread you linked and War Bonnet Yellow is the color I thought it was. I really like that color.
I've had another thought...is WBY the same color vette that was given to an astronaut some years ago? (Apollo 13?)
Heidi

Hey You guys

Yes, glad to have helped -
I had a fellow CAC'er cruise over with me.
James lives a couple miles away from me with his daily 89' coupe. Was a great excuse for us to make a road trip into Alabama in my 96 coupe... Just a shame that we were not able to "test drive it"! haha
Really nice vette!!!!

Let us know when it makes it up north!
Rain

Hi Heidi. I know that the "famous" 3 Corvettes that were given to the astronauts were 69's....all Riverside Gold...with special black trim. Saw one of them at the NCRS Nationals in Hershey this past summer. Chuck

Just following up, Did it make it safe?

Rain
