This is my 2nd Corvette, a 95 auto, flowmasters, K&N filter, Tornado, with 2002 rims. 69,500 miles. I'll be replacing the Flowmasters with Dynomax.

:upthumbs Looks great, Love the wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you like the sound of the Flowmasters or is there a different reason for switching to the Dynomax?

They are too loud between 40-65 MPH.

Corvette and too loud don't go in the same sentence. :L At least you don't have the resonance that the L98 model Flowmasters do. :cool But hey, it's a nice rumble to me. My neighbor says that he can tell when I come and go because of the exhaust. :D

Guys, I love my Corvette with the stock exhaust on it. But they are really silent. I took the car to drag racing this spring and people commented "this car does not sound loud..." :(

What should I install to give me some loud "rumble" without resonance at any speed inside the cockpit??? I have heard Corsa, B&B, Flowmaster and a few others, but I do not know the answer.

I was close to a Mustang last weekend (in a shop) with some loud exhausts. The mechanic told me they were Flowmasters. I liked it. But since I did not drive the car I can not say whether I would like them or not.

Cheers

I really love those rims.... if I had some money to blow, that's the first thing I would look at! :cool IMHO the Borla exhaust I've got is very nice, loud enough but not over doing it. Never heard the Flowmasters on a C4...

The Flowmasters are very loud and you will get resonance. However, they do sell the rear y pipes that have the cross over tube to balance it out.

I've heard good things about the Corsa exhaust systems being good about resonance, but I don't have first hand experience.

The Corsa and Borla are stainless steel systems that will last forever. The Flowmasters are aluminum that will flake.

I had posted some pictures of my exhaust system right after I bought the car. Apparently it's some style of Eliminator system. But I gotta say.... there is little doubt the "red demon" is coming when you're on the gas, but at Highway speed my wife and I can enjoy a conversation with minimal cockpit noise or resonance.

At first I thought they might be too loud, and I still do at times. But man what a rush when she is on the run!!!! :D

When I first looked at alternate systems seems that price is a consideration. From $450-900 that's a pretty big spread. Figured I'd wait til spring, see how things go and then check out other Vettes at some early shows and rallies.

Love this Forum! :upthumbs
