What is this hose for?

My 75 has a hose that runs from the rear underside of the car to the engine compartment, it then runs across the firewall and ends near the heater box. It is not hooked up and there doesn't appear to be anything under the hood to hook up to. I originally thought it was a vacuum line because it ran to the heater box. I'm thinking that it is routed to the wrong side of the car and belongs near the vapor canister since it about the right length. Any idea where it belongs?

What is it connected to at the other end? (the end underneath the car)

Is this a thick hose or a tiny hose?

Upon further inspection it is a fuel hose. I think it is a vent for the tank. The hose runs under the car and up the front of the fuel tank. It is the correct length to reach the vapor canister but there is no place to hook up to. I think it may be a bubba job, if it was bubba'ed, it was done a while ago because the hose is pretty old.

Yeah...there should be a vent line from the fuel tank to the vapor canister, but I think that it is metal tubing, not a rubber hose. However, I have a 1977, and a 1975 may be different.

Originally it was a steel line with rubber hose at each end - sounds like Bubba has been there....

Rubber Hose

I agree on the Bubba remarks. I just redid some of the Fuel lines on my 75. The passenger side of the car has two fuel lines- 3/8" feed to the pump and a 1/4" return to the tank, both with rubber at the ends as previously stated. The drivers side has 1 line from the canster to the tank.
