What kind of spacer do i need.

Ok i can only fit a 1/2 spacer. Should i get an open one, 4-hole, or 4 hole tappered? I have an Edlebrock performer rpm dual plane intake, and pro- action heads (2.02/1.60). One other question which is a better heat insulator, the phenolic, wood, plastic, or aluminum?

phenolic is the only way to go. wood distorts after time, aluminum conducts heat like the Nile conducts water. i would run the open spacer since you have a dual plane. Brian
