What RPM level do you take off at???

I noticed my friend, while driving his 350z was taking off from the light at about 12-1300 RPM. I realized that I take off at approx 7-800 RPM, mind you these are both stick cars. I am wondering if I take off way to low.

Forgot to say, this is during normal driving!

Depends on the car and the gearing. For normal launches in the Vette, I use as low as I can w/o stalling.

The Vette probably produces almost as much torque just off idle as the 350Z does half way to the redline, so the comparison doesn't match up well.
