I been using a web site and my Drag Racing Analyzer V3.0 to try and determine my WOT shift points based on what my speedo is reading as my tach is not working correctly right now. The car is a bone stock 84 with 3.07 rear and 700R4 Tranny and stock size tires. Only mod is no cat. conv. According to my Performance Trends Drag Racing Analyzer v3.0 my desired 4500 rpm shift points occur at: 35mph 1st-2nd,65mph 2nd-3rd and 106mph 3rd-4th. According to www.ondoperformance.com my desired 4500 rpm shift points occur at: 57mph 1st-2nd,74mph 2nd-3rd and 113 3rd to 4th. Now my own observations today lead me to believe the Drag Racing ANalyzer software as my car sounds out of breath above 40 in 1st gear. I do not know why there was such a descrepancy in the 1-2 shift points and not the rest. has anyone ran a car like mine and can maybe confirm these numbers? Any help is greatly appreciated. As soon as I get up the gumption I will get my tach filter out and have it rebuilt by Eagle85C4.
