what size wheels can I put on my 1960 and other questions

I bought a 1960 vette that needs work.....one of the things that I am considering is putting on some Cragar SS wheels or something else that might catch my eye. What I don't know is what will fit and do I need spacers for sure.

I would like to get the widest wheel sizes that will still stay under the fender of the car without any flares or modifying the body at all. What sizes will work?

I thought I read some place that the spacers are just needed for the front wheels is that right?

Do I need to change out the wheel lugs with these spacers added? If so, what size and where can I get them?

Do I seem lost on this topic...YUP I am.....so some help here would be great...also if anyone has pictures of their C1's with aftermarket wheels of some sort on them...that would be great too.

if you are lucky, Terry (66aircoupe) will see this and respond.
He has a '66 and a '60. he just added new Cragar SS wheels to his '60 so he should be able to give you the details you are asking about.

Anyone have any other pictures of a C1, preferably 58-60 with chrome wheels on it? How about the 17" size? Anyone got Cragar 610's in the 17 size on their cars? Share some pictures......

All though I dont think you can fit them,this is a picture of a 62 I am building,It is running a tupeular frame with a C4'S suspention. Me personally have a fondness for the "torque thrust" style rims on a earley corvette.
