Hello,
I purchased a damaged bright blue 89 Callaway convertible about three years ago. I had the frame straitened, put new cross member in. Replaced driver’s door and body panels from an 85 donor car and transferred under hood ducting from old hood. Bought 4 ZR1 replica wheels because only one Dymag survived. The car has been painted but not assembled. It needs most of the under hood plastic fender wells and bumper fillers, weather-stripping and body moldings. I have kind of lost interest.
I prefer the 91 and up body style and dash to the 89, and I really don’t care for the blue leather interior or 6 speed in my car.
So here’s the question:
Is there any value to a salvage titled Callaway with 11000 miles to make it worth finishing?
Should I try to sell it as a project car to someone else?
Or should I find a 91 that I like and transfer the engine to it and part out the rest?
Thanks for any insight or advice.
