My post "What is your 'other' car" got a huge response, so I thought I'd try again.

Consider this:
Bill Gates crashes into your Corvette. It is destroyed beyond any hope of repair. He says he will buy you any corvette you'd like as a replacement and cost is not an issue.

What do you buy?

I'd get a fuel injected 1958 283/290.

(I have no reason to believe that Bill Gates is an unsafe driver. I have no reason to believe he has caused or ever will cause a traffic accident. I just needed a rich person for the sake of conversation.)

Probably an aluminum 427 powered C3, cant remember the year, everything replaced as new.

Yeah, the 69 ZL-1 would be a nice choice.

Or a 67 L-88 'vert.

Or a 67 BB/AC/All options vert.

Or a 63 Z06 coupe.

Or a 57 Fuelie.

All NCRS Top Flight/Duntov material, of course. :D

1967 convertible 427.

67 Coupe with air,4 speed,etc.etc.etc.

Sounds like the 67s have it.. I totally agree.. I'd pick one with AC next.

One of these:
* '08Jetstream Blue convertible
* "58
* '63 Split window
* '67 427l89
* '69L88-'71 w/454
* '95 ZR1
* Any year Callaway Speedster

Just one? I'd love to have this one...

...FILLED to the brim with $100 bills. :L

Then I'd go find at least one of each:

'55 v8
'58 Fuelie
'62 Fuelie
'63 Z06
'67 L88
'69 L88 ZL1
'93-'95 ZR1
'96 Grand Sport
'02 Z06
'06 Z06
'08 "Blue Devil"

Then I'd proceed to fill in the gaps with any extra cash. :eyerole

I think that about does it.

1957, dual quad, 4spd, posi, tuxedo out, red in with ICE (I love multiple carbs)

I don't want much, that'd git 'er dun.

The latest C3 is still before my time, so i think id have to stick with getting the same model... i dont think i could live without my Z.

This will sound dumb, but I would want a frame off restored 1976, yes with the orginal steering wheel, I know I know why just a plain jane mid year C3!!
:coolIts my first vette and I never want to part with it!!!

If it could only happen today...

A ’95 dual topped, Competition Yellow ZR-1 with gray interior. My life would be complete.
