I have a broken motor mount and it appears that my choices for replacements are: locking, non-locking, urethane and rubber.

Any comments on the best way to go?

I am in the same position. I decided to go with Energy Suspension Poly mounts. I bought them from Summit (actually bought the "kit" which also comes with the trans mount - but according to some people's findings you can't use it because it's too tall). I hear there may be a bit more noticible vibration, but I don't care - I like the qualities of Poly. I just need to get time to put them in ( I want to do the rear main seal, oil pan and gasket at the same time).

DEFINITELY locking no matter which compound you choose......
