I havent been paying much attention to what C-3s are going for now. have they started to get more expensive or not?, and scence the smog rules in CA. are 75 and earlier exempt? has there been a more desire for that year and earler???

btw, NOT Interested in selling.

Overall my impression is that prices are moving up somewhat, particularly for the chrome bumpered cars. I tend to monitor prices by watching these two web sites;

http://www.proteam-corvette.com/
http://www.holtautosales.com/Showroom/OnlineShowroom_Results.asp?lngTypeID=1

They both tend to stock better quality cars so I think the prices are somewhat indicative of what you'd pay for a good car from a reputable dealer. If you were buying privately I'd deduct at least 10, maybe 20%. Also they are both in the midwest so I can't say how prices compare with CA.

This is a link to a price calculator:

I'm not sure I found it very accurate but assessing a cars condition objectively, especially one you've sunk a lot of hours and $$$ into, is kind of hard.

Chuck75:

Prices for the "early sharks", meaning '68 thru '72 models are climbing the quickest, especially big block versions.

At both Bloomington and Carlisle all Corvettes only events, prices for the small base motor cars seem to be all over the place. Automatics were for sale, generally for $12,500 to 19K. Manual trans cars were $15,500 to 25K. Of course convertibles were running about 8K to 10K more than comparatively equipped coupes.

Biggest price variations depended on Corvettes condition. NCRS top flights and Bloomington gold awarded cars at the top of the heap. Of which prices were far above what I stated above.
