This "Might" Be One For Stallion

Sounds like it's worth a phone call once he decides on a price Rick. I have no idea what he should ask for it but we do have a young man here avidly looking for a C3 with some history in nice shape and his price range.

Well I dont see many C3s at Maxies so I dont know what it is worth. He wants $12500.00. what do you think?

Probably Worth It But.....

My man Stallion is still in school and I don't know what his ceiling is for a purchase price. I sent him an IM to take a look at this thread.

Rick,

If it's in as good as shape as you describe, $12.5K may be a little on the thin side. Heidi is close to you; maybe she can slide by and have a look-see? I'd think more like $14-15K.

Nut I hope you are right. :) Yes Heidi is close by. Maybe she will see this post and see if she has time.

As Lou just said, I am currently looking for a C3 Vette and I am still in school. :) My father also is very fond of '78 S/A Vettes. So, I think we'd be willing to consider this Vette.

It would be really helpful if somebody (like Heidi) from here could go and take a look at the Vette. As it would be better than us (New Jersey) traveling down to Georgia just to look at it without having any pre-seen opinions. And if the price is good as well as the condition (as you say it is) then I will give it thought.

As far as price goes, where you thinking yet, Rick? Because with 96K miles on the engine, that's quite high to charge such of a price. I'm not saying it's worth it, but that's quite a few miles. In Corvette Fever there was a listing of Vettes being sold and a '78 S/A was sold for $10,900. I'm afraid I don't know the mileage of that Vette, though.

And, is it a manual transmission? Because I've had my sights set on a manual transmission, not an auto.

Tell me what you are thinking, Rick.

Thanks! And thanks, Lou, for thinking of me. ;)

In the condition I can imagine from your description I say 12,500 is the right ball park.

Rick, have you seen a picture of SLICKMAN's '78 S/A? Could you possibly compare it to that Vette? Because his is really beautiful and cherry. Just so we can get an image of condition, possibly, from that.

I'll pop in to Maxie's tomorrow.

I'll bring the digital, too. Are you in Monroe or Loganville, Rick?
Heidi

12.5 doesn't seem to far off (up or down) from what I've seen sold in the last several months...
of course that could probably easily swing a few grand based on so many unknowns I guess...

Heidi

Hi Heidi.

The car is in Between at my bro-inlaws house. I am in Monroe. He is going to give it a good clean up today and we can see it on Wen. or Thur. I will let you know. :)

L82,That`s the engine you want Stallion.:beer

:D Yes, Sir, it is! That is quite the engine. The '78 I was looking at before had the base engine, L48.

Well Heidi was nice enough to take a load of pictures of this car. If anyone is interested may be she will post some of them. :)

No easy way to post pics...

Sorry.
I was planning on sending the two discs to TR (about 40 pics). Perhaps I will see if Rick would like to make copies first? The pics turned out very well.
