I was cruising the net and found this.
Odd place to put those hood scoops.
Makes me wonder what is under the hood.

Looks like it just needs a nose :eyerole !

those blisters sit very far forward - my initial thoughts are, it is an 87 that someone converted from the 87's triangular NACA ducts to the blisters and installed them over the existing holes in the hood (for the intercoolers)

...hmmm :eek

Doesn't flow in sync with the with the overall look from the Aerobody. Too many holes up front. Although its a original Callaway look

The Nacas actually sit much further towards the front of the car and they sit across the outer seems of the two raised cowls that run up to windshield. My guess is that the front end of the car was smacked up at one point beyond repair. The next easiest thing to do may have been what has occurred with this car. It'd be cool to see a picture of the inside of the hood to know for sure but my guess is that they located the makeshift Callaway ducts on the outside of the hood so as to take advantage of the internal bracing of a stock hood. Then, (and this is the part we don't know) they cut the feed through holes in the internal hood bracing to feed fresh air to the intercoolers. One thing that makes me think that the front end was repaired is that the turn signal lenses are clear in color.

If someone wished to do some investigative work it would be fairly easy to track down the owner or at least the whereabouts of the car. The photo of that car resides on an un-corked server and there are lots of photos and logos from the Western Pennsylvania Corvette Club (WPCC). It also appears that the person has had or has a newer mustang and a ZR1.
