I have a 1986 roadster and I want to put newer corvette wheels on.
What have you guy’s tried?
What will work and what will not work?
Last weekend the bottom bolt on my right front caliper came out. Now the rim won't hol air

The bolt pattern on any C4, C5 or C6 wheel is the same so any Corvette wheel will "fit". What you have to check are the various offset and backspacing measurements to make sure the wheels look right and don't stick out too far.

The '94-'95 ZR-1 5stars always look nice too. Since you have an '86, I would go with the 17x11's with the ZR-1 offset and 315's for the rears. Will give the back end a pretty hefty look and shouldn't stick out of the fenders at all either

Sheldon, you got some pretty good advice here. As was stated earlier, your 86 has different offset/backspacing than the later models. Make sure you get wheels that are the correct offset. I believe that later wheels will fit (physically), and with wheel spacers can be made to be right. I've never been a fan of those spacers though.

BTW, welcome to CAC
