68 vettes came with 7 in. rims. Will the 69 8 in. rims work? Also will radial tires in that size improve the handling of the car? Any thoughts?

When I bought my 68 it had 8 inch rallys on it. The tires on it were 245/15R. Didn't notice any difference in the handling until I rebuilt my suspension (front and rear). I also put Torq-Thrust II's on it (15 x 8, three and a half inch offset) with Goodrich 245/15R's. That's when it rode like a totally different car. Also had plenty of clearance. But to answer your questions, yes to both.
