What do you use to remove the wheel weight adhesive from the inside of your wheels when you rebalance the tire/wheel?

I'm a little concerned about removing the clear coat and paint from the wheels.

I use Mineral Spirits!:thumb :beer

I've found WD-40 to work on "tape spooge." My technique is to spray it on and let it work with a small hobby paint brush. Keep it wet so the WD-40 can do it's work. Shouldn't take longer than a couple of minutes.
I've heard "Goo Gone" works also.

Goo Gone! Used it on both wheel weight adhesive and the glue under the 'GM' side emblems. Will not harm the paint, which I was very worried about under the emblems. :thumb

I tried GooGone on a couple of spare wheels and it did not do the trick. Not sure why.
