1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
My secound try I have a 2002 C5 convertable and want the biggest tire and rims I can get on it.I have money burning a hole in my pocket but I have not seen any wheels that take my breath away.Years ago we purchased a set of HRE wheels for my partners viper that at the time where absolutely the coolest,Now I see every one has them.I am kinda looking for definatley a chrome or highley polished finish, deep dish style if possible and then a 5 spoke or something that hardley shows any wheel at all.Somebody told me that BOYD just came out with a neet wheel that looks like an old crager mag wheel and it comes in large sizes . Thanks guys

I was in the same boat my man. I looked around forever and a day to find wheels that would fit! Unless you shell out over 5K for the whole deal, you will find rather quickly that there is not much offered. I opted to go with the factory chrome exchange with West Coast Corvettes, however, when my chromies arrived, they quality was horrible, so I shipped them back. I am sticking with my factory polished wheels....

Hi.... I am thinking of moving up to chrome zo6 wheels on my 1998 convertible. There are a couple of reproductions offered on e-bay by AAA wheels and "House of Wheels". Or perhaps the "2000 style Chrome narrow spoke wheels" but in the zo6 sizes offered by Mid America. Anyone have any thoughts on these?

If I buy the zo6 wheels, what do i do about the tire pressure sensors and the message that will pop up?

thanks, Terry

hey Terry,
while the z06 are o.k.(lots of people have been getting them)he wants the biggest.like 19 or 20 inch.zo6 does not come in that size.the aftermarket has some cool rims for c5s.i will go to 19s myself(maybe some EVOs).im pretty sure you can use your stock sensors with the zo6 rims.you can also use them with most aftermarket 19 and 20 inch rims as well.take a look at some other rims to make sure you get what you like.but if you like run flat tires then your pretty limited.anyway have a good evening.
later,Todd.

the use of tire pressure sensors will work on the Z06 rims. some people have leaks from there, and you could request larger o rings to seal it off or buy the tire pressure sensors with a lager stem to seal everything off nice and tight

i think 19 front and 20 rear would be pretty sweet on a corvette, i look for some rims.

Thank you for replying. I doubt I will go with taller wheels though. I just want a little wider and perhaps a bit more flash than the stock aluminum wheels. Although, chevy didn't make any zo6 convertibles, I still think there is something to be said for staying near original in appearance. I'd still like to hear from anyone who has put zo6 wheels on and how their sensors reacted.

Maybe If I saw some 19" wheels up close and personal on a c5 I'd change my opinion. Thanks again for your advice.

hey Terry,
i dont like the www.corvetteforum.com but if you do a rims and tire search, there is a bunch of cars with 19 and 20s.it really is an unbeatable look.gives it a real exotic look.PCM programming might need to be done for active handling, but not sure, later,Todd.

reprogramming will NOT need to be redone as long as the amount you go up in rim diameter you take away from side wall, in short, as long as the circumference and/or diameter of the wheels and tires is the same there will be no problem
