I have a C4 94' LT1 coupe and a friend of mine has a C5 03' Conv. he wants to put a set of Z06 wheels on his and asked me If I was interested in purchasing his C5 wheels from him, My question is, can I put his C5 wheels on my C4 ? without changing out my tires I just bought a new set about 2 months ago, and my tires are stock sizes.
thanks

I think your buddy has 18in wheels in the rear. You might want to look into that before you buy.

I've seen several C4's with C5 wheels on them. The seem to fit okay. You might lose a little clearance in the rear with the 18" wheels but it doesn't seem to matter.

C5 wheels on C4

I purchased a set of C5 wheels (5 spoke chrome finish) for my 86. 17" front 18" rear w/ 275 45's.

They fit and look great, specialy on a black car.

Beware, these wheels will expose your dirty little break disc, I had to paint my calipers as well as do some clean up & paint the hub.

I hope to post a pic of them if I can ever figure out how.

I think I just read an article about that in Corvette Enthusiast.
Answer was yes. But check it out first.
Good Luck

You probably have 17 inch wheels all around. Your 17 inch tires will not fit on 18 inch rims.

Those C5 18 inchers should work fine clearance-wise, but a few considerations:

1. 18 inch tires cost significantly more than those 17 inchers.

2. 18 inchers will throw your speedo off. Speedo will read lower for same speed.

3. You will lose a little torque turning those larger diameter tires.

4. If you have the tire pressure warning option (don't know if it WAS an option in '94), you will have to give up your old sensors on the rear because the straps that secure them to the inside of the wheel will not fit. By doing this you might as well dump the front ones too cause you are going to set a perpetual LTPWS light.

Good luck on your decision.

Ted

BTW, nice color!

Thanks for all the advice..............
